Any bike will do:

Cycling can be dangerous, hence make sure that your bike is well maintained before initiating any training on it.

First in this section we will learn the "Anatomy" of a bicycle:

Wheel

Rim

Spoke

Hub

Tire

Frame: The frame is the part to which all the others are attached.

Seat post:

Saddle:

Stem: Connects the handle bars to the frame

Check wheels to make sure they are "true" (that they are straight) it's normal for wheels to have a little wobble in them, excessive wobble is when the wheel rubs on brakes or stays for example.

Make sure your brakes con the braking surface correctly. Brake pads have wear indicators. Make sure your  brakes aren't worn out by finding this mark. Clean the rim with soapy water, make sure there is no grease on the rim. Sand your brake pads if they get grit in them to make sure they don't scratch the breaking surface and bake optimally.

Gears: If your gears are out of tune simply put the gear on the smallest cog, release the gear cable, pull it taught, but don't stretch it. Now, with the rear wheel of the ground try chaning a gear up. if the gear does change imediatly turn the little screw at the back of the rear mach

If you don't know how to fix things, take the bike to a mechanic. It's not work an accident to save some money on a mechanic.
