Tomás Metcalfe

Tomás was born in Faro, to an Irish mother and an English father. He consider himself to be Irish/Portuguese/English in equal measures. Ever since the age of eleven he has realized he had a talent for endurance sports. He is currently a professional cyclist and rides thousands of kilometers a year round the Algarve.

He is studying for Bsc in Sport Science at MMu and has studied Sports Technology at Loughborough, as well as holding a Coaching Certificate from the Portuguese Cycling Federation.

Catarina Lopes:

Catarina is a ceritified fitness coach and dance teacher. She has work her entire professional career in the hospitality industry as an entertainer. Curently she hopes to develop here career and professional goals in line with this project.

She is currently studying for a degree in Hospitality and Tourism from the University of Algarve.

Cycle Algarve:

This company seeks to share two things with it's clients, the Algarve and "Momentum" sports. We aims eventually to have a much more varied selection of holidays for people to choose.

Coming Soon:

• Tour the Algarve with Patrick Swift and David Wright. 

My grandfather, Patrick Swift wrote a book on the Algarve in 1968. Nearly half a century later I try to show you the Algarve as it was and some of it's old charm.

• Gastronomic Route.

The Gastronomic Route as is suggested is a Tour of all the best Portuguese restaurants in the region. It is divided into four parts. And the tours will be short tours with a duration of three days.

• Training camps for groups of cyclists and sport enthusiasts.
• Team Building camps for companies and groups wishing to as a team and taking example of what cycling as a team sport can teach.
• Weekend tours (based in the same town each night) for people with little time.
